Ranges of Punishment

Felonies

Class A felony: Punishable by a term of imprisonment of not less than ten (10) years and not to exceed thirty (30) years, or life imprisonment.

Class B felony: Punishable by a term of imprisonment of not less than five (5) years and not to exceed fifteen (15) years.

Class C felony: Punishable by a term of imprisonment of not less than three (3) years and not to exceed ten (10) years, and a fine of up to $10,000.00.

Class D felony: Punishable by up to a year in the County jail, or a term of imprisonment not to exceed seven (7) years, and a fine of up to $10,000.00.

Class E felony: Punishable by up to a year in the County jail, or a term of imprisonment not to exceed four (4) years, and a fine of up to $10,000.00.

Misdemeanors

Class A Misdemeanor: Punishable by up to one (1) year in the County jail, and/or a fine of up to $2,000.00.

Class B Misdemeanor: Punishable by up to six (6) months in the County jail, and/or a fine of up to $ 1000.00.

Class C Misdemeanor: Punishable by up to fifteen (15) days in the County jail, and/or a fine of up to $ 750.00.

Class D Misdemeanor: Punishable by up to fifteen (15) days in the County jail, and/or a fine of up to $ 500.00.

Infractions

An infraction is punishable by a fine not to exceed $400.
